About the Artist
Cheryl Kast is a wildlife and landscape artist working from her Colorado studio. She specializes in impasto oil paintings of the American West, using palette knives to apply thick, textured layers of oil paint that mirror the rugged terrain she depicts.
Her paintings capture the Rockies, canyons, coastlines, and wildlife of wild America. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind original created with dramatic impasto technique. A portion of every acquisition supports National Park conservation efforts.
Cheryl's work has been described by collectors as pieces that "allow you to feel like you're there" -- paintings where "every angle offers something different with the way the knife stroke is."
